The by-election for Hatia assembly constitueny in Ranchi passed peacefully
The scorching sun with 42 degree Celsius temperature had compelled the voters to remain in the homes. Official sources said out of 4.02 lakh voters of Hatia assembly constituency, turnout of voters were all time low.
The panchayat by-poll in Ranchi held on May 29 had witnessed voter turnout at 60 per cent.
Hatia assembly constituency falls in the state capital comprising urban and rural voters. Two major townships Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) and Mecon Limited were included in this assembly constituency (Hatia). The management of HEC and Mecon Limited had declared holiday to enable their employees and families to cast their votes.
