CBSE CTET September 2016 registration process begins

The submission of on-line application will be on till July 18, 2016 and the exam will be held on September 18

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi has published the examination date for the 10th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). The exams scheduled to be held on September 18, 2016, Sunday, will test eligibility of candidates for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII.

The application process is conducted only on-line and at official website www.ctet.nic.in

CTET Schedule 
  • Submission of online application: June 22 to July 18, 2016
  • Last date for submission of fee through e-challan or debit/credit card: July 19, 2016 (Before 3:30 p.m.)
  • Final status of candidates-check status and particulars of candidates: July 20, 2016
  • Online corrections in particulars: July 20 to July 25, 2016
  • Admit card available online: August 17
The results will be declared tentatively in the second week of November

Date of examination: June 18
Paper: Paper -II (9:30 a.m. to 12 noon)          
Paper- I (2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Schools of the central government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi especially insist on CTET certification. Several unaided private schools also show preference for teachers who have cleared CTET.
