It was a misty morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 14.5 degrees Celsius.
According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the overall air quality for Delhi was recorded in the 'poor' category for the second day in a row showing gradual improvement since Tuesday when it was in the 'severe' category.

On Friday, the PM2.5 -- particles in the air with a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometres -- level was recorded at 235 around 10:30 am, according to data from SAFAR.
Region wise, air quality was recorded as 'very poor' in Chandani Chowk whereas it was 'poor' in other parts of Delhi including Lodhi Road, Delhi University, Pitampura, Delhi Airport, Mathura Road, Pusa and Dhirpur.
An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
The AQI of five places in New Delhi has been provided in the table given below.
