Fire at Aurobindo Pharma unit in Srikakulam

All the workers at the plant were safe and the damage was also expected to be very limited

A fire broke out in one of the blocks of Aurobindo Pharma Limited's manufacturing unit in Srikakulam district Wednesday evening. Firefighters were still trying to control the flames late in the evening.

An official of Aurobindo said all the workers at the plant were safe and the damage was also expected to be very limited as the accident was confined to one part of a production block.

The plant has six production blocks located at distance from each other, according to the official.
