As a "precautionary" measure, all immigration posts have been alerted to prevent Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal from leaving the country, an official said Tuesday.
"He should inform us in case he is leaving the country," Goa Police Deputy Inspector General of Police OP Mishra told a press conference here.
Tejpal's junior, a woman reporter, in Tehelka is fully cooperating with us, Mishra said, adding that a formal statement was also being recorded by the Goa Police team which has travelled to meet her. The woman has accused Tejpal of sexually assaulting her in a Goa hotel.
