India slams J&K reference in Pak-China statement, opposes meddling in PoK

India on Tuesday objected to the reference made to Jammu and Kashmir in a China-Pakistan joint statement issued after Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to Islamabad. External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar also talked about the China-Pakistan economic corridor in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), asserting that India is “resolutely opposed” to any actions by other nations to change the status quo in the region.
 
Pak rakes up Kashmir in UN
 
Raking up the Kashmir issue, Pakistan has told the UN Security Council that it should explore options to strengthen its military observer group stationed in the region, besides closely monitoring the situation in Kashmir.
 
Talks with Pakistan only on PoK, says Naidu
 
Bilateral talks with Pakistan will be held only on the issue of PoK, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said on Tuesday. He said the dilution of Article 370 will accelerate the pace of development in Jammu and Kashmir.
