Manzoor alias Shamas Baba, the chief coordinator of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has been arrested from Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, an army spokesman said Tuesday.
Manzoor was arrested in a joint operation by the army and state police Monday, Naresh Vij, spokesman of the army's Srinagar-based Chinar Corps, told IANS.
"He was arrested from Pattan area of Baramulla district. Four mobile SIM cards and other documents have been recovered from the arrested person. He was responsible for coordinating LeT terror strikes in Kashmir," he said.
His arrest is being considered a major breakthrough in anti-militancy operations.
