Thousands of drone strikes in Afghanistan, a strike on Saudi oilfields, and now killing of an Iranian general in Baghdad, unregulated use of unmanned aerial vehicles, especially the rogue drones have started posing huge threat to human lives. With geopolitical tensions escalating, there is increased fear of the misuse of drones to eliminate targets in foreign soil, some times at the cost of civilians. Countries are now becoming aware of this new threat and investing in anti-drone solutions at key installations such as airports, defence bases, oil refineries and government buildings.
