In less than a month, one more student from IIT Madras has committed suicide.
Rahul Prasad, a final-year BTech student hailing from Kollam, Kerala, committed suicide in his Ganga hostel room on Monday.
Police sources said that so far no suicide note was found. His parents in Kerala have been informed and they are expected to reach by late evening.
On September 22, Nagendra Kumar Reddy hailing from Andhra Pradesh, had committed suicide in his hostel room. The 23-year-old was reportedly depressed about failing an entrance exam to study at an institution abroad.
