Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing again at Indian positions along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir, police said Thursday.
The firing took place in the Tent post area of the Border Security Force (BSF) in R.S. Pura sector of Jammu district around 10.50 p.m. Wednesday, police sources told IANS here.
"BSF effectively retaliated Pakistani firing. Firing continued in the area till 2 a.m. Thursday. No damage or casualty occurred on our side," a police source said.
One BSF trooper was killed and seven, including three BSF men and four labourers, were injured when Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing in Arnia sub-sector of R.S. Pura sector in the district on Wednesday.
