Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi will visit Rajasthan on September 21 and 22, respectively, to inaugurate metro and oil refinery projects in the state.
"We have invited Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi for separate special events of foundation-laying ceremonies of Metro rail and oil refinery on September 21 and 22, respectively," Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot told reporters after the flag off ceremony of Jaipur Metro Rail here.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the next phase of the Metro Rail project between Chandpole and Bari-Chaupar on September 21. He will also lay the foundation stone for a proposed airport at Kishangarh, 100 kms from here, on that very day, Gehlot said.
Sonia Gandhi will lay the foundation stone for the oil refinery at Pachpadara in Barmer district on September 22, Gehlot said.
