Unified CPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, has congratulated BJP president Rajnath Singh for his party's stunning victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
"I am extremely happy to hear the stunning victory of Bharatiya Janta Party in the Parliamentary elections paving way for formation of a BJP-led government in India," Prachanda wrote in a letter dispatched to Singh on Monday.
"I personally and also on the behalf of my party sincerely congratulate you for your party's grand electoral success," he said.
"I wish all the success of the new BJP government and I am optimistic that cooperation between the two parties and relations between Nepal and India will grow further during the tenure of the BJP government in India," he said.
"I look forward for cooperating with one another for the larger interest of the two countries and the two peoples," Prahanda wrote.
