BJP on Sunday reacted strongly to Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde accusing it and RSS of fanning Hindu terrorism, dismissing it as baseless and malicious and demanding an apology from him.
“The RSS and BJP are strong national organisations. Their commitment is well-known,” BJP national spokesperson, Ravi Shankar Prasad, said here.
“He (Shinde) owes an apology to these two organisations and also to the country for making this baseless, unwarranted and malicious allegation which I condemn outrightly,” the BJP leader said.
Earlier on Sunday, Shinde told the AICC meeting at Jaipur: “Reports have come during investigation that BJP and RSS conduct terror training camps to spread terrorism. Bombs were planted in Samjhauta express, Mecca Masjid and also a blast was carried out in Malegaon.” Prasad added, “He (Shinde) has already compromised high office of Home Minister.” “They (the Congress-led government) withdrew POTA under pressure.”
