Branding the celebrations as 'December to remember', the district administration today launched the 'Mysuru tourism festival 2014'.
To last till December 31, the events include cultural programmes, cake and food festival, boating and heritage walk.

The heritage walk with over 100 participants was led by deputy commissioner C Shikha and Heritage, Archaeology & Museums commissioner CG Betsurmath.
The festival is being organised jointly by the departments of tourism, Kannada and Culture, Information and Public Relations; zilla panchayat, and Mysuru City Corporation.
Heritage walk in the mornings from the Palace Balarama Gate for cycling students, youth, foreign tourists, hostel students and officials is a part of the week-long festival, he said.
