Inflation of products consumed by agriculture and rural labourers declined in November, in line with wholesale price-based numbers. The rate of price rise for articles consumed by agriculture labourers fell to nine per cent from 9.4 per cent in October, while inflation for items consumed by rural labourers went down to nine per cent from 9.8 per cent.
Food inflation based on the consumer price index for agriculture labourers eased to 5.9 per cent in November against seven per cent in October, while the fall for rural labourers was to 5.87 per cent from 6.78 per cent. Also, consumer prices moved up 14.4 per cent in November against the average price level of 2010 for entire India against 14.2 per cent in October.
