East Coast Railway (ECoR) has made elaborate arrangements for passengers bound for the annual Rath Yatra festival in Puri. For the convenience of passengers visiting the holy town and also to avoid extra rush during the annual event, the zonal railway has decided to run 60 trains, over and above the existing trains, from different parts of the state and from the neighboring Andhra Pradesh. Special trains will also run to and from Puri on the occasion of Sandhya Darshan, Bahuda Yatra (return car festival) and Sunabesa (golden attire of the three deities). The places to be connected to Puri with special trains include Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Palasa, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Paradeep, Bhadrak, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Gunupur, according to an ECoR release. Apart from this, eight trains will be rescheduled.
