On Monday, when he was discussing how to break the price rise logjam with Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and other leaders, his mobile rang.
He took the phone thinking it must be an important call. But, he made a face and told the caller: “No, no. Not now. I am in a meeting.”
When asked who had called, an embarrassed Mukherjee said it was a finance company that had called to offer him home loan.
