Fifth GRIDTECH to kickstart from tomorrow

The event is organised by state owned transmission giant, Power Grid Corporation

The fifth version of GRIDTECH - biennial conference and exhibition on new technologies in power transmission, distribution, smart grid and communications will kickstart from Wednesday. 

The event is organised by state owned transmission giant, Power Grid Corporation. It is promoted and assisted by the Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) by Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA). 

The key participants in the conference are noted companies in power transmission and distribution business. This includes the likes of domestic companies such as Tata Power , Crompton Greaves, Sterlite Grid and Sterlite Technologies along with foreign majors such as Siemens, ABB and CLP. These leading global and domestic manufacturers will showcase their new technology products and capability in the power sector.

Going by theme of the conference - 'focus on renewable integration and power quality, the event would also hold discussions on integration of renewable energy and emerging technologies in sub-transmission and high voltage distribution. France based International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE) would hold day long conference on overhead transmission lines, their construction and monitoring. 

In the two- day conference there would be various technical presentation by the national and international technical experts in the sector. This event provides a platform for technocrats, experts, engineers, manufacturers, suppliers and power sector companies for knowing the latest and upgrade technologies innovation in this field.
