Genome Valley awards

Centre for Multivariate Analysis (Pennsylvania State University) director CR Rao and EMBL European Bio-informatics Institute (Cambridge) director Janet Thornton have been selected for the Genome Valley Excellence Award 2010.

It would be presented to them at BioAsia 2010 here on February 3. The award was instituted by the Andhra Pradesh government in 2004. Meanwhile, Union minister for science and technology Prithviraj Chavan released the BioAsia 2010 souvenir here.
