Infosys Technologies said the cost resulting from US plans to raise visa application fees on some companies operating in the United States would over time be passed on to customers as it was a industrywide issue.
Infosys Technologies chief executive Senapathy Gopalakrishnan told reporters late on Monday that the new visa rules would however in the immediate future have a minimal impact on India's second largest outsourcer.
He said that in the short term, the cost of new visa regulations would be approximately $4 million to $6 million as it would affect 2,000-3,000 Infosys employees.
