The Jharkhand bureaucracy has been reshuffled for the first time after the state was brought under President’s Rule on June 2. Five senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers were transferred yesterday.
Jyoti Bhramar Tubid, who had been working as the home secretary, was replaced by his wife Rajbala Verma who became the principal secretary in the home department.
She was given the additional charge of one more key post of vigilance commissioner. Her husband Tubid has been promoted to the post of principal secretary in the commercial taxes department.
Sukhdev Singh has been transferred as principal secretary in the finance department, replacing Rajbala Verma.
Singh was given the additional charge of secretary, art, culture, sports and youth affairs.
