The Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die today, a day ahead of schedule, amid pandemonium over Telangana issue for the four consecutive day.

The House, during 21 sittings, lost 31 hours and 49 minutes due to disruptions caused over Liberhan Commission report, Telangana, price rise and a host of other issues.

During the session, 21 Bills were introduced and 19 were passed, which included the Representation of People (Amendment) Bill, 2009 and Commercial Division of High Courts Bill, 2009.

The controversial Liberhan Commission report on Ayodhya demolition and Ranganath Commission report on reservation for minorities and weaker sections were also placed in the House.

On the last day, the House could manage barely 55 minutes of work during which legislative business was rushed through with five important bills being passed and two others introduced amid pandemonium.

The bills passed included one on raising salaries and allowances of ministers and another providing for creation of commercial divisions of High Courts.

The entire Opposition, except TDP, was agitated at the way the legislative business was rushed through by Speaker Meira Kumar and staged a walk-out.

The Lok Sabha, which was scheduled to last till Monday, was later adjourned sine die by the Speaker who expressed her unhappiness over the disruptions caused by members.
