Rich tributes were today paid to Mahatma Gandhi on his 62nd death anniversary with President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh leading the country in remembering the Father of the Nation.
Vice President M Hamid Ansari, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Defence Minister A K Antony, Minister of State for Defence M Pallam Raju, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and three service chiefs were among others to pay their tributes at Rajghat, memorial of the Father of the Nation.
A large number of school children were also present during the remembrance function held at the Rajghat.
