Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh today said as his resignation from key posts was not yet accepted by Mulayam Singh Yadav, he would not be able to actively participate in party-related issues.
"My resignation has not been accepted by Mulayam ji. I hold him in high esteem and he is my well wisher. However, I am just an ordinary party worker now and, therefore unlike earlier, I will not be able to participate in party-related issues," Singh told a TV channel here.
He, however, added he had no differences with the SP chief.
"I have no differences with Mulayam Singh Yadav. However, in reply to Ram Gopal's comment that film actors have not been beneficial for the party, I would like to say that Jaya Bachchan is in the party on her own esteem and Jaya Prada (party's Rampur MP) has broken the Congress stronghold there," Singh said.
