Expecting Rajya Sabha to pass the Lok Pal Bill tomorrow, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today sent out a veiled message to Anna Hazare saying those having divergent views should respect the verdict of Parliament.
"Legislation is the prerogative of Parliament. That is in the Constitution...It is time for those persons to take note. I hope those having divergent view will respect the verdict of Parliament," he told reporters on the sidelights of a function.
He said while Lok Sabha passed the Bill yesterday with substantial majority, Singh hoped the Rajya Sabha will pass it tomorrow.
"Tomorrow [it will be] in Rajya Sabha. Rajya Sabha will pass it. Then Parliament has spoken," he said.
