The reports are to be submitted by three PSUs- Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC), Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) and Odisha Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (OTPCL) and also the four discoms- Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha Ltd (Cesu), North Eastern Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Ltd (Nesco), Western Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Ltd (Wesco) and Southern Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Ltd (Southco).
The energy department has called for submission of reports by May 5 after which they will be forwarded to the department of planning & coordination.
The performance evaluation reports are to be prepared in accordance with the Results Framework Document (RFD) for the energy department.
The RFD is aimed at improving power availability through fresh capacity addition, improved generation and capacity requirement saved through energy conservation measures.
Other objectives include expanding transmission network, slashing AT&C (aggregate technical & commercial) losses through implementation of Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reform Programme (R-APDRP) scheme, ensuring universal power access, scaling up green power generation and enhancing availability of trained and skilled manpower.
