Rs 1,215 Crore Package For Khadi Announced

As part of market development assistance (MDA) to the khadi sector, minister for small scale industries and agro & rural industries Vasundhara Raje today announced a special Rs 1,215 crore package here.

The entire amount of Rs 1,215 crore would be spend over the next five years for providing additional working capital to Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), expanding marketing infrastructure and provision of insurance cover for khadi artisans.
