In order to check the crime rate in the IT city of Gurgaon, the Gurgaon Police has made it mandatory for all Private Security Agencies working in Gurgaon to get themselves registered. The Haryana Private Security Agencies Rule, 2009 have been framed and notified by the Government of Haryana on August 31, 2009. The police spokesman said Additional Director General (Law and Order) Haryana is the controling authority. Every Private Security Agency is required to obtain a licence from the controling authority. The character and antecedents of every security guard employed, will be verified first and they are required to undergo a training for a specified period on subjects like physical security, security of buildings, household security, firefighting, first aid, crisis response and disaster management will be given.
