In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, he said that the Government of Tamil Nadu had requested the Ministry of Power for allocation of the entire power to be generated from Kundankulam Nuclear Power Plant to the state.
Similarly, a request from the Government of Kerala for allocation of 500 Mw power to Kerala to be generated from Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project was also received in the Ministry.
As per existing guidelines for allocation of power, the entire power to be generated from Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (2x1000 MW) is to be distributed amongst the beneficiary states as under: Karnataka 442 Mw, Tamil Nadu 925 Mw, Kerala 266 Mw, Pondicherry 67 Mw and unallocated is 300 Mw.
