Microblogging website Twitter has been abuzz with celebrities expressing their outrage at the government's move to thwart Anna Hazare's fast. Here are a few reactions:

Shabana Azmi: Arresting Anna n team is deplorable.the govt has pushed itself into a sorry situation from which it will be difficult to extricate itself.

Farhan Akhtar: The Indian citizen has the right to protest peacefully. Anna's arrest is unconstitutional and shows symptoms of an authoritarian mindset.
