The Western Railway (WR) will spend Rs 692 crore on various projects including gauge conversion, line doubling, passenger amenities and safety measures during the current fiscal year.
The amount will be spent out of its total budget outlay of Rs 5,000 crore. The WR is planning various upgradations and new line projects in the recently created Ahmedabad division.
