AAI to recruit 86 junior executives though departmental exams

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) recently released a notice regarding the filling up of the post of junior executive under 25% departmental examination quota. The vacancies to be filled are in law, official language, finance, CP&MS, fire service, technical and operations).

Applications are invited from eligible and willing candidates with requisite qualification prescribed as per R&P guideline 2005 and subsequent amendments.

Candidates have to submit duly filled in application along with supporting documents at concerned airport / station on or before July 28, 2017. The applications of only those candidate who fulfill the eligibility criteria may be forwarded to General Manager (HR), Recruitment Cell, CHQ, Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi by the concerned Regional Executive Director latest by August 7, 2017.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates keen on JE – fire service posts should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology in fire engineering/ mechanical engineering/ automobile engineering, or diploma with a minimum five years experience. For candidates interested in JE – technical posts, bachelor’s degree in engineering/ technology in mechanical/ automobile diploma with minimum five years experience in the relevant field. Those interested on JE – operations post should be graduate in science and MBA of two years duration or bachelor’s degree in engineering or diploma with minimum five years experience in relevant field.

For candidates interested in JE – law posts, professional degree in law (three years regular course after graduation or five years integrated regular course after 10+2) is a must. Candidate should be eligible to get enrolled as an advocate in Bar Council of India to practice in courts of India. Candidate interested in JE - official language post should be postgraduate in Hindi or English with English or Hindi respectively as a subject at degree level, or postgraduate in any subject with Hindi and English as a compulsory/ elective subject at degree level plus experience of two years in translation relating to glossary and from English to Hindi and Hindi to English preferably of technical or scientific literature

Candidates interested in JE – finance posts should be B.Com with ICWA/CA/MBA with specialization in finance. For JE- CP&MS posts, candidates should be postgraduate in mathematical statistics/ operation research/ statistics/ applied statistics/ economics with statistics/ mathematics with statistics from any university recognized by UGC.

All the candidates need to have at least 55% marks in graduation/ post graduation. The upper age limit for candidates as on July 28, 2017 is 50 years.

Eligible candidates have to apply offline. Candidates have to:
  1. Log on to the official website, aai.aero
  2. Check the Notices section on the home page
  3. Click on Departmental examination for the post of Junior Executive (Law/Official Language/Finance/CP&MS/Fire Service/Technical/Operations).
  4. Read the notice carefully
  5. Save and download application form
  6. Take a print out of the form
  7. Fill in the requisite details
  8. Attach the photocopies of necessary documents
  9. Submit at concerned airport / station
Selection process
Regional Executive Director at the concerned airport / station will forward the applications of only those candidate who fulfill the eligibility criteria to General Manager (HR), Recruitment Cell, CHQ, Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi by the latest by August 7, 2017.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on the details furnished and later on their performance in written test followed by interview. Details about the examination and interview will be published at a later date.
