None of the candidates have withdrawn their nomination. Similarly out of 793 nominations filed for the 70 assembly constituencies going to polls in the first phase, 716 nominations were found valid, of which 48 candidates have withdrawn their nominations. Polling will be held in 15,045 booths in the first phase.
The Lok Sabha constituencies which will go to polls in this phase include Bargarh, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Aska, Berhampur and Koraput. The last date of withdrawal of candidature for the second phase of polls is March 29. Polls will be held in 77 assembly constituencies and 11 Loksabha seats on April 17.
