BJP's Thupstan Chhewang wins from Ladakh seat

Chhewang polled 31,111 votes, while Raza got 31,075

BJP candidate Thupstan Chhewang won from Ladakh Parliamentary constituency with a narrow margin of 36 votes from his nearest rival Ghulam Raza, a congress rebel who was fighting the elections as an independent.

Chhewang polled 31,111 votes, while Raza got 31,075.

Two other candidates in the fray from the constituency -- Independent Syed Mohammad Qazim and Congress candidate Tsering Samphel -- secured 28,234 and 26,402 votes, respectively.
