As per information from the State Chief Electoral Officer's office, in the first phase of polling for nine constituencies, only two out of 279 eunuchs cast their votes, in the second phase for 10 constituencies on April 17, 37 out of 420 and in the third phase for 10 constituencies 55 out of 364 gave their votes.
Meanwhile, out of a total of 4.8 crore voters in Madhya Pradesh, 2,96,8839 voters cast their votes in 29 parliamentary constituencies in Madhya Pradesh in the recent Lok Sabha polls.
Giving this information, an official release said here today that in contrast during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections 1,94,87,254 out of a total of 3.8 crore voters had exercised their franchise.
Total number of male voters in the state was 2,52,90,307 of which 1,67,03386 cast their votes.
Similarly, 1,28,86,724 out of 2,28,01637 female voters exercised their franchise. In this way, polling percentage of males and females was 66.05 percent and 56.52 percent, respectively.
Maximum 13,16,44 voters out of a total of 21,14,092 92 voters exercised their franchise in Indore Lok Sabha constituency followed by Bhopal where 11,29,930 out of 19,55, 379 voters cast their votes.
