Gujarat BJP sources say if things turn out as planned, Modi will address people in about 500 constituencies simultaneously, using 3D holographic projection technology.
"We will use 3D holographic technology for the Lok Sabha elections, as we did during the 2012 Assembly polls," said Gujarat BJP spokesperson Vijay Rupani. He added Modi would use this medium to address rallies in the state once the nominations in the state were filed.
"Plans are afoot to organise simultaneous 3D projections of Modiji across about 500 constituencies. People will be able to see him live at these locations," said a party leader, adding if the plan materialised, it would be a world record.
Talks are underway with the company providing the technology and logistical support for the event. "The time and date are being finalised. It will be announced soon," the party leader said.
Through this technology, Modi had addressed 53 locations across Gujarat simultaneously in December 2012 and this had seen an overwhelming response. However, a few technical glitches had marred the addresses.
The company that had provided technical support for the addresses was named in the Guinness World Record for most simultaneous shows through 3D holographic projection technology.
Modi has been using technology to reach out to people across sections. He has been aggressively using social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Hangout and Youtube to reach out to the youth, posting regular updates on his tours and addresses.
