The Prime Minister (designate), called up today in the afternoon and spoke to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, on the telephone thanking her for her letter, according to state government's release.
He conveyed his congratulations for the remarkable victory that her Party has won in the Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu.
Jayalaithaa-led AIADMK won in 37 seats of the total 39 seats in Tamil Nadu. The balance two seats were won by BJP and its ally PMK.
Jayalalithaa wished him a very successful tenure as Prime Minister of India. The Prime Minister - Designate assured the Chief Minister that there will be absolute co-operation between the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, according to state government's release.
