Fresh from their victory in the just concluded general elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs paid a courtesy call on party president Rajnath Singh at his residence.
Varun Gandhi, Uma Bharti, Satyapal Singh, Jagdambika Pal, Yogi Adityanath, Gopinath Munde were among the MPs who visited Singh on Monday. Other leaders like former Jharkhand chief minister, Arjun Munda and party spokesman Prakash Javadekar were also seen at Rajnath Singh's residence.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance bagged 336 seats in total including BJP's own 282 seats in its tally out of 543 seats. While the Congress could just bag a dismal 44 seats in the new house of Lok Sabha shedding 162 seats from its earlier total.
