Shazia Ilmi to contest from Ghaziabad

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Saturday announced that the party's core committee member Shazia Ilmi will contest the Lok Sabha polls from Ghaziabad constituency.

Ilmi, who lost the R.K. Puram assembly seat by a narrow margin, has agreed to contest from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, the party said.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh is the sitting parliamentarian from Ghaziabad.
