 "Why has EC not derecognised parties which gave cash, asks KMDK")
Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi,part of the six party NDA alliance in Tamil Nadu, today demanded to know why Election Commission had not derecognised parties which allegedly gave cash to voters in the run up to the April 24 polls, 'which the state CEO himself has admitted to'.
In a statement here KMDK president E R Eswaran pointed out that Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Kumar had himself admitted to incidents of money distribution to voters.
When there was evidence of distribution of money, as stated, there should be no two opinions that Kumar was in the know of who distributed cash to voters, he said.
He urged Central Election Commission to take cognizanse of Kumar's remarkm seek a report from him and take appropriate action against the parties involved.
