Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has written its first policy for ThyssenKrupp Stah, the German steel major which acquired Raymond's speciality steel unit in Nashik last year. This is the latest non-life insurance company to have triggered off its operations after Tata AIG General Insurance, Iffco Tokio Marine and Royal Sunderam Alliance.
The industrial all risk cover for the 200,000-tonne steel unit has been further reinsured with the General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC).
