Federal Bank posted a 20 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 114.28 crore for the quarter ended September 2008 compared with Rs 95.33 crore in the comparable period last year.
The bank’s income jumped by 39.32 per cent to Rs 828.10 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year compared with Rs 594.37 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
For the first half ended September 2008 net profit stood at Rs 182.43 crore compared with Rs 162.27 crore in the same period last year. The bank’s income too jumped to Rs 1,573.22 crore from Rs 1,149.59 crore.
