Forex reserves rise to $352 bn

Foreign currency assets up by $592.7 million to $328.56 billion

The foreign exchange reserves rose $631.5 million (Rs 4,176 crore) to $352 billion (Rs 23,27,600 crore) for the week ended September 18 (last Friday), data released on Friday showed. Foreign currency assets rose $592.7 million (Rs 3,919 crore) to $328.56 billion (Rs 21,72,603 crore).

During the week, gold reserves remained unchanged at $18.04 billion.For the week, the Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) rose $29.3 million to $4.10 billion, while India's reserve position with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was $1.33 billion recording a rise of $9.5 million.
