State Bank of Hyderabad has launched retail sale of pure gold coins at its headoffice here. These would be available in 2, 4 and 8 gram with pictures of Goddess Lakhmi, Lord Ganesha and Charminar. The coins would be sold across the branches of SBH. Managing director Renu Challu said on Wednesday that the bank was targeting to sell 35 kg gold during this festival season.
MFI exposure
SBH has an exposure of Rs 60 crore. She said SBH will be "more conservative before lending to MFIs henceforth." She said the bank would wait for further clarity on the MFI issue. There is no request from any MFI for a moratorium on the repayment of the loans taken. Also, there was no problem with the recovery, she said.
