HDFC Bank Q3 net surges 32% to Rs 818cr

HDFC Bank, India's second largest private sector bank today reported a surge of 32 per cent in net profit at Rs 818.50 crore during the third quarter ended December 31, 2009.

The bank had reported a profit of Rs 621.74 crore during the same quarter a year ago, according to a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Total Income has decreased from Rs 5407.89 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2008 to Rs 4887.82 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009.

The stock of the company was trading 0.31 per cent higher at Rs 1690.80 on the BSE as compared to its previous night's close of Rs 1,685.50.
