ICICI names Sandeep Bakshi as ICICI Pru Life MD & CEO

ICICI Bank today announced major changes in its management structure. Sandeep Bakshi, deputy managing director (corporate banking), will take over as the managing director and CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

He replaces V Vaidyanathan, who’s leaving the ICICI group to join Future Capital Holdings (FCH), the financial services arm of Biyani’s Future group, as the managing director of the company.

Zarin Daruwala will look after the wholesale banking group at ICICI Bank and will report to the managing director and CEO Chanda Kochhar. At ICICI Prudential, Puneet Nanda and Madhivanan, currently executive vice presidents, will take over as executive directors on the Board of the life insurance venture. With these changes, the executive management structure at ICICI Life, under the managing director and CEO, will comprise Puneet Nanda, Madhivanan and Chief Actuary Avijit Chatterjee.

The executive management structure at ICICI Bank, under the managing director and CEO, will comprise Executive Director & Chief Financial Officer N S Kannan, Executive Director (Human Resources, Customer Service & Operations) K Ramkumar, Executive Director (Retail Banking, Inclusive & Rural Banking and SME & Mid-Corporate Business) Rajiv Sabharwal, Group Chief Technology Officer Pravir Vohra, Group Executive (International Banking) Vijay Chandok and Group Executive (Wholesale Banking) Zarin Daruwala.
