Aided by a robust jump in net interest income and improved margins, private sector lender ING Vysya Bank on Monday reported a 44 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 119.5 crore for the quarter ended December 31, compared to Rs 83 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The bank’s total income rose 19.6 per cent Rs 493.5 crore, while its operating profit rose 32.5 per cent to Rs 211.3 crore, compared to the year-ago period. The net interest income for the quarter increased to Rs 323.6 crore, against Rs 245.9 crore in the year-ago period.
