Relief Bond Curbs To Free Rs 5,000 Cr

A sum of Rs 5,000 crore is set to find its way into the market following the finance ministry's decision to bar investors from rolling over funds above Rs 2 lakh parked in Government of India Relief Bonds beyond their maturity. The relief bonds have a 5-year tenure and offer pre-tax returns of 8 per cent a year.
