Religare to stay in health insurance business

A day after announcing its plan to exit its life insurance joint venture with AEGON, Religare Enterprises said it will stay in the health insurance business. Shachindra Nath, Group CEO, Religare Enterprises Limited, said, “Our health insurance business is doing extremely well and we are the controlling shareholders there. Health Insurance and all other businesses are core to the Religare platform and there is no intention to exit any of our businesses.”
