Appointment of 1984 batch of IPS as SDG level at the Centre

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following:

(a) Shri Gurbachan Singh, IPS (OR:84) working as Additional Director in IB to the rank of Special Director in IB against existing vacancy (Level 16 in the Pay Matrix) w.e.f. 21.08.2017 and up to date of his superannuation on 31.12.2018 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

(b) Shri Sudeep Lakhtakia, IPS (TG:84) working as Additional DG in CRPF to the rank of Special DG in CRPF (Level 16 in the Pay Matrix) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and up to date of his superannuation on 31.07.2019 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

(c) Grant of pay (Level-16 in the Pay Matrix) and rank of Special DG to Shri S. Javeed Ahmed, IPS (UP:84) working as Director, NICFS on 'in-situ' basis from the date of assumption of charge of the post and up to date of his superannuation on 31.03.2020 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

(d) Shri Deepak Kumar Mishra, IPS (AGMU:84) working as Additional DG in CRPF to the rank of Special DG in CRPF (Level 16 in the Pay Matrix) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and up to date of his superannuation on 30.11.2018 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

(e) Dr. A. P. Maheshwari, IPS (UP:84) working as Additional DG in BSF to the rank of Special DG in BSF (Level 16 in the Pay Matrix) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and up to date of his superannuation on 28.02.2021 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

(f) Grant of pay (Level-16 in the Pay Matrix) and rank of Special Director to Shri Arvind Kumar, IPS (AM:84) working as Additional Director in IB on 'in-situ' basis (under the provision of Para 6.7 of IPS Tenure Policy) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and up to date of his superannuation on 30.09.2019 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

(g) Shri Rakesh Asthana, IPS (GJ:84), working as Additional Director, CBI as Special Director, CBI from the date of assumption of charge of the post.

(h) Shri Rajesh Ranjan, IPS (BH:84) working as Additional DG, BSF to the rank of Special DG, BSF (Level-16 in the Pay Matrix) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and upto date of superannuation on 30.11.2020 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
